The Motta project is located in the Nations district of Geneva and transforms an office building constructed in 1982 that was previously used by an NGO. The building is defined by its triangular geometry and comprises six upper floors, two ground floors and three basement levels. The existing structure is being converted into a residential building. The ground floor will accommodate a mixed-use programme with administrative and commercial areas as well as residential units. A total of 86 units is planned. In addition to conventional apartment typologies, units with the MOVEment system are included, allowing flexible layouts and different forms of use. The transformation makes continued use of the existing building structure as a resource and strengthens residential use in a centrally located urban area of Geneva.
