Binz 111, Zurich
The Binz industrial estate in Zurich is the site for a nine-storey and a five-storey building housing 430 affordable studios and flat-share rooms for students and for staff at the University Hospital in Zurich. The ground floor also houses gastronomy outlets and studios together with multi-purpose and community rooms. An accessible inner courtyard provides attractive outdoor areas that open up the complex to the surrounding district. Working on behalf of the building owner, Halter Global Services developed and optimized the project and was then given the job (as total services contractor) of implementing it. The first occupants moved into their studio apartments as early as summer 2018.
