The residential buildings on the access road «Am Holbrig» in Zurich-Höngg have undergone a comprehensive renovation. Buildings no. 7 and 9 were completely refurbished and extended with an additional attic floor. Four new apartments were created in the attic, offering views from Altstetten to Lake Zurich. The existing layouts were reorganised, stairwells were upgraded with lifts, and the building envelopes were insulated and renewed. The new attic floor stands out from the main structure through a differentiated façade design, executed with ventilated, textured Eternit panels.
Buildings no. 2/4, 10/12 and 11/13/15 were refurbished as part of a service riser renovation. The focus was on upgrading kitchens and bathrooms. The façades were repainted, and the sun protection systems replaced. All works were carried out with the apartments vacant.
