The high-rise building constructed in 1972 in Zurich-Oerlikon, once the tallest building in the city, has been extensively repositioned in close collaboration with the owner UBS. Through a cooperative alignment with the heritage preservation authorities and the conclusion of a protection agreement, the heavily utilized building was revitalized as part of a well-structured approval process. With its 85-meter height and 28 floors, an exclusive residential offering is being developed under the name Oerlikon One Living: between the 13th and 27th floors, 124 stylish rental apartments are created. The range includes 1- to 3.5-room units with innovative layout solutions – from mezzanine to triplex structures – delivering a premium living experience with spectacular views. In the summer of 2025, the boutique hotel of the French lifestyle brand Mama Shelter moves into the building. On the ground floor, a high-quality retail space of around 400 m² featuring renowned brands will complement the mixed-use concept. A publicly accessible urban balcony with a café and pergola – directly connected to the train station via a spiral staircase – will become the new meeting point for residents, hotel guests, and the neighborhood.
