Conversion and renovation of Seefeldstrasse 26/28 & 32/34

Zurich

The property in Zurich’s Seefeld district comprises two mixed-use blocks with commercial space on the ground floor and a total of 50 apartments on the upper levels. Built in the 1940s and only selectively refurbished since, the property retains the distinctive charm of Seefeld. Today, however, the building services, kitchens and bathrooms have reached the end of their lifecycle. The facade, renewed in the 1990s with only minimal thermal insulation, no longer meets current energy standards.

With a comprehensive refurbishment of the building services, the property is now being upgraded to contemporary standards. Wet rooms and kitchens are being completely replaced, floor, wall and ceiling finishes refreshed, and a new bicycle storage room created. The facade renovation and an additional roof extension will improve energy performance while also enhancing the building’s appearance.
