According to the ‘Hagnau West’ district plan regulations, a new, architecturally sophisticated and dense development with a central function will be built on the former industrial site. The Birs Tower will offer a combination of residential and commercial space and will be the only project in the neighbourhood to include owner-occupied flats. This mix of residential and commercial space will strengthen the intended centre function of the district. The neighbourhood is located directly on the River Birs and offers great added value thanks to its proximity to the upcoming Schänzlipark and the nearby public leisure area. At the same time, its accessibility is excellent thanks to its proximity to the motorway and excellent public transport connections. The Swiss Sustainable Building Standard (SNBS) with the ‘Gold’ label will be applied to all buildings in the district.
