Three apartment blocks with 30 owner-occupied flats have been built in a rural and easily accessible location in Toffen in the canton of Bern. The Toffematt development, which is visually and functionally impressive, offers living space for small and large families, couples and singles. The project also offers the advantage that buyers who purchase a flat also join the co-operative that owns the land for the entire development. This means that the owners benefit from a low-cost building lease that also benefits their co-operative. The new owner-occupied flats are spread across three houses, with the flats in House C also meeting the age-appropriate LEA standard. The flat sizes and floor plan types vary: From the 2.5-room to the 5.5-room flat, there are different flat layouts - individualised for the different needs of the residents. The naturally designed outdoor space ensures great biodiversity, a high quality of stay and low operating and maintenance costs.
