Centre development Riethüsli, St. Gallen

The Riethüsli neighbourhood centre is located between two hills on the south side of the city of St.Gallen. Condominiums (building rights) are being built in various houses. The inner courtyard forms the green heart of the new neighbourhood centre. It bridges the gap between semi-public neighbourhood square and communal identity-forming outdoor space for the residents. The basic design structure ensures a public-oriented use, good access to the Appenzeller Bahn and a high quality of stay, while at the same time offering ample opportunity for collective participation, thus promoting coexistence and networks in the neighbourhood.
