Mirro, Langnau am Albis

In the charming village centre of Langnau am Albis, 38 individual condominiums are being built on the site of a former, historic mirror factory. The coherent structure is being broken up between the factory building and the neighbouring office wing - a newly created passageway connects the two parts and ensures permeability. The existing office wing gives way to a new replacement building, which is connected to the second building via the basement and the shared car park. On another open space on the plot, a third building in the form of an annex completes the ensemble. While the living space in the original factory section is designed in the characteristic loft style, the new replacement building and the annex present themselves as classic new buildings with ventilated façades and controlled living space ventilation.
