The refurbishment is being carried out in a completely empty state and comprises a core refurbishment of the two buildings with a total of 52 flats, including a comprehensive remediation of pollutants. The former duplex flats will be converted into additional living space, for which the areas on the 4th floor will be used.

The entire roof structure will be removed to create space for new skylights as part of the extension. At the same time, the building envelope will be harmonised and repaired, including the replacement of windows and blinds. The sanitary facilities will be completely renovated and the heating system will be converted to district heating.

During the construction work, the smooth operation of the Coop retailer in buildings 27-33 must be ensured. Neither disturbances nor noise emissions must disrupt daily business operations. The commercial premises themselves are not part of the refurbishment project.
