The entire property is undergoing a comprehensive renovation, with a focus on the building services and the office floors from the first floor upwards. The existing catering areas on the ground floor are being redesigned and renovated accordingly. The Bollwerk pharmacy will be able to remain in operation during the renovation work.
The historic sandstone façade will be restored and the roof will be completely renewed down to its basic construction. In addition, all windows and shop windows will be replaced.
The static building structure, the staircase and the entrance area will be carefully upgraded and maintained. In terms of building services, a controlled ventilation system and a cooling system for the office space will be installed. In the future, energy will be supplied via the district heating network instead of via gas heating, as has been the case to date. The sanitary facilities will also be completely renewed.
Since the building is a listed building, the renovation work is being carried out in close cooperation with the relevant heritage protection authorities.
