The office and commercial building from 1974 had been in structural change for a long time: it was becoming increasingly difficult to rent and the space no longer met today's requirements in terms of functionality and quality. As a result, the building was extensively renovated, architecturally rethought and reorganised in terms of its use.
The aim was to transform the property in the heart of Schaffhausen's old town into an attractive place to live, work and shop. The complete renewal of the building services and structurally demanding interventions formed the technical basis for this repositioning. With the redesign of the façades and shop windows, the building has been given a distinctive upgrade - as a new opening to the old town with attractive conditions for gastronomy and retail.
