On the idyllic forest clearing "Im Pantli", on the border between Schaffhausen and Stetten, an extraordinary residential project is being realised that offers the rare opportunity to live close to the cantonal capital of Schaffhausen, but also in the midst of unspoilt nature. A total of 276 apartments will be built in several phases. The development comprises 186 owner-occupied apartments as well as 90 rental apartments in a range of sizes. Commercial spaces are also planned on the ground floor. The neighbourhood is based on a clear urban design concept with car-free access routes, shared open spaces and a central public square. Timber façades with varying material finishes, organically shaped building volumes and diverse transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces define the architecture and integrate the development sensitively into the surrounding forest landscape. A kindergarten, daycare facilities and shared community spaces complement the residential offering and encourage neighbourhood life. “Waldstadt im Pantli” is being developed in accordance with the Swiss Sustainable Building Standard (SNBS).
