Urdorferstrasse 40 and 40a-f, Birmensdorf

The two blocks of flats with a total of 42 flats were built in the 1970s, completely renovated in 2020 and 2021 and topped up with attic flats.

In the interior, all existing floor, wall and ceiling coverings as well as the kitchens and bathrooms were removed and rebuilt, including underfloor heating. In addition, the floor plan was optimised and wheelchair accessibility ensured, among other things by installing a total of three new lifts. The existing façade was given new insulation in the form of a plastered compact façade. The windows were replaced and the roofs were replaced with 14 new attic flats. Finally, the driveway was redesigned, a carport was built and all the ground areas were landscaped again, while the tree population was preserved. The renovation was carried out in the unrented condition.
