The municipality of Bonstetten is planning to build two new multi-purpose buildings on the Heumoos site in Bonstetten to house the fire brigade, police, road services, social services and school administration. In addition, space will be created for a new day care centre. The unique aesthetics of the two buildings are emphasised by rear-ventilated timber façades, which are fitted with double-running and delicately designed canopies. These elements, which are not only architecturally attractive but also functional, are a clever and energy-saving low-tech solution for summer heat protection.
