The complex in the Holligen district of Bern resulted from an investors and architectural competition organized by the city of Bern. The mix of a total of 103 apartments is mainly intended for families, but also offers live-in studios and cluster housing, which lend themselves to various types of living styles. All the apartments are oriented towards the projected Huebergass, which will form the social heart of the complex. The project is strictly not-for-profit, and rent is based on the actual cost of building/upkeep as defined in the guidelines of the Bundesamt für Wohnungswesen (Federal Housing Office).
