Geras Nursing hotel, Sutz-Lattrigen

Two oval-shaped buildings with a connecting structure form the new nursing hotel in Sutz-Lattrigen by the Lake of Biel. The three-storey buildings with rooftop apartments blend harmoniously into the rural landscape. The balconies running around the pre-weathered wood façades are a typical feature of the project. The innovative care concepts comprise both temporary and long-term arrangements tailored to individual needs; these include a variety of services and enable residents to lead independent and autonomous lives into old age. Built were 44 care home places in three residential groups, 16 studios offering care for acute and temporary conditions or respite care, and 14 assisted apartments with in-house Spitex services as well as a public café and restaurant.
